Contracts
Employers are required by statute to provide employees with a written statement of terms and conditions. Most employers meet this requirement by incorporating the required elements into a bespoke contract of employment. A correctly drafted employment contract can minimise the risk of future difficulties by providing clarity and instilling confidence for both sides in each other.
Policy Documents
Policies are much easier to amend and adapt than contractual terms. Many small business have just two or three essential polices dealing such matters as disciplinaries, grievances and absences whilst others may have a more extensive range including personal use of the employer’s internet and emails, lone working, vehicle use, GDPR and much more. We can advise you on appropriate polices that will work best for you and your staff, and then draft them for you. Where required we can incorporate polices into a Handbook that may cover other areas such as the history of your business, key personnel, and your aims and expectations.
